Travel Information - Metro Transit

Public transportation

Minneapolis is blessed with one of the largest public transit systems in the country. Busses and taxis are readily available at the convention center and at most hotels. Minneapolis offers fast, quiet light-rail service to 17 stations between downtown Minneapolis and Mall of America, including the airport.

Dozens of bus routes are timed to connect with trains at Hiawatha Line stations, making it easy to get around. Use MetroTransit's Trip Planner for easy door-to-door directions.

Skyways

One of Minneapolis' most unique assets is the skyway system. Linking most of downtown with above-ground climate-controlled walkways, the system will get you from the convention center to most spots in downtown Minneapolis without ever stepping outside.
